A cold and rainy day at the zoo

We attempted to spend a day at the zoo while granny and pa were in town, but the weather didn't allow us to stay for long. When we started out it was in the 60's and cloudy. When we left the zoo 2 hours later it was in the low 50's and raining. A cold front came through while we were having our picnic lunch under the pavilion and when we finished eating it was cold and damp. We could here thunder and as the storm was moving in and we were heading to the car Colton was running saying "This is terrible! This is terrible!" We ended up going to the omni theater and seeing "Dinosaurs." Colton was a little afraid of the "moving" sensation you get at the omni and he held on to granny's arm for almost the entire show. Here are a few pictures from the zoo.

Although the zoo trip was shortened due to thunder storms, it was enjoyable. We enjoyed the dinosaur show as well.

The zoo trip was fun and I enjoyed eating lunch in the pavillion. Maybe next trip we can try again and hopefully the weather will be good. The Omni was great as usual. Toward the end of the show, Colton looked down and told me - "we are not moving at all". Smart kid!!

Even though the weather was not good, it sounds like u guys made the best of it anyway & still had a good time! Wish Gary & I were there with u all! I love that baby-he's changing & growing so much! He looks like such a happy-go-lucky little guy in every picture!Looking forward to seeing both of the boys in June.
