Camping Trip

This last weekend we went camping at Lake Grapevine for 2 nights with two other families. The weather was warm, but it was super windy. The kids had a great time running around with all their friends. The big boys rode bikes all around the camping area and we had a playground right next to where we were camping. We had campfires and smores at night. A great time was had by all!
Silly boys!
Don't they all look so precious!
Carson had so much fun hanging out with his good buddy Owen
Time for a movie!
The kids ate dinner in our camper the first night and watched a movie while they ate
Smores!
Perfect marshmallow-slightly burned and crispy!
Colton and his buddies eating smores
watching a movie before bed
I caught Carson and Ashlyn in this sweet pose in the morning watching cartoons together
yummy pancakes and fruit for breakfast
the little kids playing a beanbag toss game
Colton spent a lot of time on his bike
Ashlyn and her friend Burnley
Poor Burnley got bit by a dog so she had a swollen eye. She had to go get stitches

My Hectic Life

Life with three kids can be crazy sometimes(well atually most of the time!) I wouldn't trade it for the world though. Here is what my Saturday was like: 1. 0800-Arrive home after working all night-yuck! 2. 10:00 Get Colton to the field for his last baseball game. Check out the cool trophy!
3. 12:00 Go pick up the dresser we ordered for Ashlyn's room. 4. 2:00 Carson's last soccer game. He finally decided to play(on his last game!)and he scored two goals! We are so proud of him!
5. 4:00 Take Carson and Ashlyn to a birthday party. 6. 5:00 Nine little cub scouts arrive at our house for a backyard sleepover. The kids had a lot of fun-they set up their tents, learned how to start a fire, had tacos in a bag, watched a movie, made smores, and told scary stories before bed. They also ran around and played.....a lot! We had pancakes and bacon before everyone headed out in the morning. The scouts all slept in a huge tent together and the parents who stayed slept in other tents. I had Mike spend the night in the tent with Carson and I slept inside in my bed. Somebody had to be inside in case Ashlyn woke up:)

Ashlyn's Big Girl Room

We have been working on Ashlyn's room since around her birthday and we are finally getting closer to being done. Mike had painted her room pink on her birthday and then we kinda stalled out on doing anything else. We had bought a toddler bed, but she wasn't climbing out of her crib yet so I was in no hurry to change her bed. Recently she started climbing out so I figured might as well finish the room. We bought a new dresser and now I get to sell all my baby furniture-Yay! It is still a work in progress, but here are some pics so far. Wish I would have got a before and after pic!

Carson finally got a haircut!

OK-it has been forever since I got Carson's haircut and it was getting a little out of control so I finally got it cut. I think he looks so much older with his "new do". Handsome little devil!

Halloween

These are some pictures from Halloween. Caleb came over to play in the morning, in the afternoon we carved pumpkins, and in the evening we had dinner at the neighbor's with a few other families and then all went trick-or-treating. Getting the kids ready this year was like a 3 ring circus. The face painting was a disaster and Ashlyn screamed and cried the entire time I was getting her costume on. Good times:)
The wild trio
The fruit platter I made to take to the neighbor's house. I thought it turned out pretty good:)
Carson helping clean the "guts" out of one of our pumpkins
My little "inja turtle" (as Carson would say)
I thought their costumes turned out pretty good. Carson's face paint didn't last very long though.
Colton doing his best monster impersonation
my little fairy princess!
The group preparing to go trick-or-treating
What a goofball:)
The kids did a lot of running while they were trick-or-treating. I kept trying to explain to them that it was not a race and they weren't going to run out of candy. Poor Ashlyn had trouble keeping up!
The pumpkins we carved. The pictures didn't come out very good, but they looked awesome!
Granny B was able to join us for awhile
Back home and ready to pass out some candy. Our next door neighbor's have an amazing Halloween light show so we had a ton of people coming to our cul-de-sac. They won the town's award for best decorated.
