Boys night out

Mike and Colton had a "guys night out" on Friday night when they went to the Brahmas hockey game with Mondo and Ethan. This meant mommy and Carson got some quality time together too. Here are a few pics from the game.

A day at the zoo

Me and the boys went with Wendy and her boys to the zoo. It was the perfect day to go-75 degrees and sunny. We all had a great time. Afterwards, I took the boys to Braum's for ice cream. Carson got some ice cream for the first time and he loved it! I intended to only give him a tiny taste on his tongue, but he got really mad when I took the spoon away so he got a little more than a taste. I guess he's going to like ice cream like his Pa.

Valentine's Day

Unfortunately, this year I had to work on Valentine's Day since it was on a Saturday. But I had a good V-day regardless. Mike and the boys took me out to lunch and then dropped me off to get pedicure (one of my favorite things to do!) The boys had a good Valentine's Day thanks to the grandparents getting them cards and gifts.

All the cards and gifts. Notice all the chocolate-Colton was in heaven!

My pedicure! I really didn't want to put a picture of my feet, but I wanted to show my gift and how else do you show a pedicure!

My Little Cowboys

We took Colton and Carson to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo the other night. Granny B and PaPa went with us. Colton was dressed up like a real little cowboy, thanks to daddy getting him some wranglers and a cowboy belt buckle. He seemed to really have a good time although he didn't like the smells that accompanied the stock show-he literally gagged at the pigs. He did like the baby pigs though. His favorite part of the rodeo was by far the bull riding and the clowns. Carson wasn't really impressed with any of it, but he was really good considering he was out way past his bedtime.

Pajama Day

Colton had pajama day at school the other day. This pretty much consists of wearing your PJ's to school and taking a stuffed animal. He chose to take tiger this time instead of blue bear. I'm always embarrassed when he takes blue bear because he's so ratty, but his teacher told me that means he's been well loved. Mommy especially likes PJ day because it cuts down on the time it takes to get ready for school in the morning!

It's all about the toes!

Carson loves playing with his toes. It has become quite an obession with him lately. He is a toe sucker just like Colton was!

Not only does Colton pick at his own toes, now he also picks at his brother's! He says he's "looking for treasure!"

Random pictures

These are some random pictures of the boys I wanted to post.

Carson loves his paci now-can't leave home without it!

So serious!

See mom-I do give him tummy time!

Pretty blue eyes!

Carson's first cereal feeding

I finally gave in and fed Carson cereal for the first time. I wanted to wait until he was 6 months old to start, but I need some sleep! Mom's all night buffet is closing!
He seemed to really like the cereal at first(he was grabbing the spoon and trying to feed himself), but then he started making faces like he wasn't too thrilled with it. By the end of the feeding he was just letting it run out of his mouth. Unfortunately he didn't sleep any better that night-probably because more ended up on his bib than in his belly! I'm putting a video clip of his 2nd cereal feeding. Colton was making him laugh during the feeding in case you were wondering why he was giggling. Hope it works!
