The boys and I took another trip to Tennessee to see Granny and Pa. As usual, we had a great time. It was nice going in the fall because we were able to see all the leaves changing colors on the trees. The weather was also really nice. We only had a couple of days of rain and the rest of the time it was in the 60's and 70's. Colton was able to play with all his Tennessee friends that live on my parents cul-de-sac. He never wants to come home after being up there with them. They even invited him to a Halloween party at their church which he enjoyed. We didn't bring his costume so I had to go buy him one for the party-he was Captain America. We went to a great pumpkin patch while we were there called Autumn Acres. It had a HUGE corn maze and a hayride that actually takes you out to the pumpkin patch to pick your pumpkin. It also had fire pits to roast hot dogs and marshmallows, hillbilly slides(don't ask!), train rides, and a huge bounce area for the kids. The highlight was when Granny was crying in the corn maze because she thought we were never going to find our way out. I took Colton to a haunted house while we were there that was supposed to be for little kids. It was a regular haunted house that was "toning it down" for one day during the week between 1-5 for the little kids. It was not for little kids at all. It was super scary and I had to tell the people to take off their masks and "No, do not start the chainsaw!" Bad idea. When it was over Colton thought it was cool, but not so much when we were inside. Hopefully he's not traumatized for life. We took a two night trip over to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We did the usual-putt-putt, go-karts, bumper boats, arcade games, carnival rides, and shopping. Colton was able to swim in the indoor pool and we watched DVD's in the hotel at night. It was a great trip and we were all really sad to come home:( Oh, and the kids did great on the plane trip both there and back. That was such a relief! Here are pics from the trip:

Glad you had such a good time on your "last" trip to Tennessee in October since Colton will be in big school next fall. It was a lot of fun. Loved having you here and am so glad the boys had such a good time. Colton really enjoys playing outside with his Tennessee friends. They are already looking forward to when he comes back next summer!!!
Looks like Halloween was a fun time for all of you :) Tennessee is pretty in the fall. Pretty picture from your house. I remember the beautiful rainbow when we were there after the rain. By the way, Grandpa Bill, that's a mighty fine hat. Glad you all had fun in Tennessee and Texas. Time is so precious for all. I always enjoy the blog Traci and your precious pictures. Love you all.
Oh yes, did you say Granny cried in the maze LOL Who is the kid now LOL The haunted house and Autumn acres sounds cool. Wish we had one here.
Traci- We certainly did enjoy having you and your boy's here with us for 10 days. It was lots of fun for us as well. We always look forward to your visits.
Pigeon Forge...makes me laugh every time. Looks like a fun trip. You better not move away from me!!
