4th of July

We had a fun-filled Fourth of July this year. We started off the day by taking the kids to a 4th of July parade right here in Trophy Club. They love going to the parades because the people throw candy to the kids. We then headed to the pool to cool off. They were having an American Idol contest at the pool. It was super crowded, but Colton and his friend Corey liked getting up and dancing to all the songs. It was a little funny to watch:) We then went back to the house and cooked out hamburgers with Uncle Mark. The town of Trophy Club was having a festival prior to the fireworks show that had bounce houses, games, face painting, etc. We loaded the kids in the wagon and headed down to that. It was also really crowded(and hot!), so the kids were not able to do everything. Next year we will have to remember to get there earlier. We then found a great spot and settled down to watch the fireworks. By the end of the night I was completely exhausted because I had been up the entire day before, worked all night, and came home and never got any sleep. I did get a Starbucks on my way home from work-thank the Lord for caffeine!

Sounds and looks like a fun filled day. Wish we could have been there to enjoy it with you. I know the kids had a great time and loved the picture of Colton dancing. He's on his way to stardom!! I don't know how you do it, Traci, working all night and then staying up all day. I bet after the fireworks you collapsed!!

Looked like Carson enjoyed waving at everyone at the parade. Glad to see you blogging again. ;-)

I know you had a fun filled day and a hot one. Thank goodness I don't have 110 degrees up our way.

Uncle Mark had fun but was very tired after pulling the wagon around all evening!
