Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day was very busy this year. Every year on Valentine's Day Colton's school does a special themed party. Last year was the Fairy Tale Ball(very extravagant!) and for 2nd grade they have the Sock Hop. The kids dress in fifties clothes(girls in poodle skirts, etc. and boys in jeans, white t-shirts, leather jackets-you get the idea). They did several dances that they had been practicing for weeks(one was to the one of the songs from Grease-very cute!). Then they had a Valentine's party with food delivered from Sonic-hot dogs, burgers, fries, and of course ice cream sundaes. Carson had a small Valentine's party at school that just consisted of eating snacks and exchanging Valentine's cards. I enjoyed going to both parties and was so glad I was able to be there with them. Unfortunately, that night I had to work and was completely exhausted from the days festivities! Here are some pictures from the parties, as well as some pictures of the kids with their gifts from the grandparents. They were very excited to get presents!
